"But finally the last thing I’ll say to the people who don’t believe in cycling, the cynics and the sceptics. I'm sorry for you. I’m sorry that you can’t dream big. I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles. But this is one hell of a race. This is a great sporting event and you should stand around and believe it. You should believe in these athletes, and you should believe in these people. I'll be a fan of the Tour de France for as long as I live. And there are no secrets - this is a hard sporting event and hard work wins it"

no, they didn't. Millar was caught with an empty vial or syringe in his hotel room, I think and fessed up. Pantani had a high hematocrit test and the police found a syring with traces of insulin, but he never actually failed a drug test. Virenque was involved in the festina scandal, in which drugs were found in his teams car, but he never tested positive either. he only later (much later a year or 2 I think) admitted that, yes he indeed was a jelloblooded doper. all had what LA might call a .1000 batting average in drug tests.

not that I care

but if they all are on dope then it must have been his preparation, diet and training.
If we assume they are all on PED's the cream still rises to the dirty top.
Otherwise ONCE and Liberty Seguros would win/have won everything.

NO, No, NOOO! You got it all wrong, atpjunkie!

Armstrong was the one who really cheated. This is the real news today.
Basso and Ullrich were framed. They are innocent pawns.

If anything, their guilt proves that Armstrong was even more guilty. I know it doesn't make any sense, but trust me, today is all about Armstrong. [/sarcasm=off]

Different people react in different ways. Take me and my buddy Jimmy. I can drink beer all night long but as soon as I start drinking whisky I get CRAZY! Chasing all the fatties, taking off my pants, driving real stupid etc. Now my buddy Jimmie can drink the Jack all night and he just sits in the corner and drools, but as soon as he drinks beer he throws up...

My heroes have always been cowboys.
Lance Armstrong just worked harder and wanted it more.
Next, you'e going to tell me that Elvis was nothing but a Hound Dog.
And, the IRS was just out to get Willie Nelson:
Whiskey for my Men & Beer for my horses.
Lance Armstrong is the most constantly tested athlete in his sport.
It's not like being across the line of scrimmage from a cocaine-crazed Lawrence Taylor
Lance Armstrong has no weapons of mass destruction. But, hee hee...look at all the collateral damage incurred on cyclists when they were looking for WMD for seven
years in the wrong person--and they still want to look at him more.
Nothing substitutes for hard work and desire.
You go Lance. Ride on. Enjoy your new life.
