Is it possible to selectively throttle back bandwidth for certain sites like Youtube? Now it takes forever to watch a Youtube vid on my work lappy. I suspect the IT Nazis are behind it.

I went downstairs to my home computer...same thing. I did a tracert to Youtube...does this indicate a connection issue? If it does I'm gonna call and *****.Creakyknees said:turn off / log out of your vpn and just use your local internet connection.
of course, then you won't be able to do any work. hah!

got this over the lappy running VPN and connecting via wireless--heading downstairs to try it via ethernet.
I work for this one. This sucks. Something must be wrong.uzziefly said:wtf????

Is your internet really that slow?
I say call the ISP and talk to them. I hate ISPs. They always screw with you.
I just got done chatting with tech support. Sounds like it's the modem. They are sending me a new one. They switched the gateway thinking it might be that, but no difference. Hopefully that will resolve it.Creakyknees said:yeah those are really slow numbers. something's wrong.
of course there's always "reboot the router" for starters.
