Anybody using or know somebody using a chest HRM with a pacemaker?
My Garmin chest HRM didnt work after the pacemaker implant 10 years ago so I started using the optical wrist ones. They work mostly ok but Ive gone through 3 in 10 years. They just don't seem to last, at least the Scoshe branded ones I've used. I never got use to wearing the thing on my arm either.

"Why do you have that suntan stripe on your forearm?" it's like a nail my head at this point.

What wrist sensors are you using?
A watch with a heart rate sensor, at least for me, is the most convenient thing for monitoring HR. I can’t say it’ll last forever; I’ve only had my Apple Watch a couple years now. Strapping an elastic band around my chest where I sweat the most isn’t exactly appealing to me. Unless you’re training for TdF I think sticking with the wrist is the way to go.

Im guessing the answer to my question is "no". If so, there was no expectaion of a response.

The answer to your question is in my original post
My bad on the reading part.
I stand by my statement that a wrist based watch is a better option than an armband. It’s just a more natural location and works quite well

…I can also never go in public without my watch now

Im asking a specific and simple question here:
Anybody using or know somebody using a chest HRM with a pacemaker?

I dont live under a rock. I can find the same info on the web as anybody else. I am aware of the other options. Im not asking for other options or opinions on other options. If I wanted to know about other options I would have asked a different question.
If you can answer my question with a "yes" that would be great. If you cant then dont answer, especially dont answer my question with an answer to a different question or ask me a question that was answered in my original post.
I get an email when this thread is updated and when I see there is new response I get optimistic that someone has answered my question.

Why is this so hard?

If you are or you know somebody using a chest HRM with a pacemaker It would help me to know the details.

He certainly didn't read "How to Win Friends and Influence People".
We have Polar chest straps at work (cardiac and respiratory rehab) that all work just fine on people with icds.

Thanks Mackers!
I'll give the Polar a try.
There’s an option to turn off notification emails. That’ll solve one of your problems
