Wow! What a great mountain top finish for Tour of California . Having climbed Palomar Mtn. many times, I can say it will definitely breakup the main GC contenders. Hopefully they go up the South Grade of the mtn.(more difficult than the East Grade). As a fan it should be an awesome viewing experience. There actually could be some snow up there at the time of the race.

San Diego has been ignored by ToC and we have what could be considered a 'queen' stage

I have not ridden Palomar, and I'm envious that you guys get the first mountain finish in the ToC. I live in the Santa Monica mountains and had been sure that we'd get first crack!

Can you share some info on Palomar? Elevation gain, pitch, etc?
