Hi,
I have the opportunity to swap over from my 09 Centaur 10sp to Chorus 11sp that has had about the same amount of use, for little cost.
The thing is I know exactly what mine has been through but less on the Chorus. (Chorus=est. 5000km in 18mths.)
Would you recommend the punt or suggest what I should look out for if I go ahead with it?
Other than an extra gear and some weight what am I gaining? Lever shape? Elevated status?
Cheers.

Swap

So someone wants to swap down and not make any real money on it? Think about it.

Ha! Funny reply. I'm swapping mine over for little cost to me. They are not down-grading to mine in return. The $$ are sorted, dont worry about that.
All I wanted to know is if there will be any 'unforseen' costs in swapping to Chorus11? Such as wheel upgrade. Campag 09 wheels take 10sp and 11sp i'm assuming?. Additional tools etc?

I've gone ahead and done it anyway so we'll see in in time hey!

2009 Centaur to Chorus BB

Can anyone advise me on whether I need to swap over the BB while changing group sets on my Paris? I've never done this before, but intend to swap the cups (&bearings??) but unsure if I needed to swap out the BB also.
Advice on any other things I may over look is appreciated. Cheers.
