I have a set of 2011 Ksyrium Elites and am trying to source a spoke wrench. I measured the nipple diameter and it's about 6.5mm and has 7 splines. According to the Park Tool website this would require the black SW-12 wrench. However, when I look at the picture on parktool.com the wrench has 6 spline ends on it but the description indicates 7 splines. So, can anyone who uses this wrench please confirm that it will work with a 7 spline Mavic nipple?

FWIW, I went to two local bike shops and neither had the Park tool for Mavic wrenches and were very little help.

Third thread in 7 days about the Mavic nipple wrench! Some sort of a Mavic epidemic?

Mavics are sold with the nipple wrench and the hub preload wrench so a LBS that sells Mavic should have these wrenches available.

Anyway, you are reading the picture of SW-12 wrong. The 6 spline is the 9mm end, the 7 spline is the 6.5mm end. Jenson sells the Mavic tool and Amazon sells IceToolz if you need other sources than Park.

I just received the Park SW-12 yesterday and it is indeed the correct wrench. Thanks for the help dcgriz.
