For part 2, see Here

So, after I got back from H-wood's place and crashed back at home, I didn't really go anywhere as the real effects of jet lag began to set in and I spent the next couple of days just watching tv in my room and sleeping in till really, really late (probably 3-ish in the afternoon) for a few days.

I did head out to The Block @ Orange though a few days later (Nov 4th) for a stroll and also some lunch at a seafood place.

The oyster shooter damn near made my eyes pop out with the crazy sour marinara/tomato something sauce!!

Here are the shots for the day:

(By the way, that's the bridge/highway I was referring to Joe. Going under it, the zoom of cars above and those going past you make for a somewhat nervy few moments on the bike)

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/3353547866/" title="IMGP0032 by uzziefly, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm2.static.flickr.com/1025/3353547866_2f1f162aba_b.jpg" width="1024" height="766" alt="IMGP0032" /></a>

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/3353547152/" title="IMGP0033 by uzziefly, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm2.static.flickr.com/1075/3353547152_a74e0c941c_b.jpg" width="1024" height="766" alt="IMGP0033" /></a>

My attempt at shooting the sun :

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/3352727459/" title="IMGP0039 by uzziefly, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm2.static.flickr.com/1313/3352727459_beeb1c54f5_b.jpg" width="1024" height="766" alt="IMGP0039" /></a>

Cool name for a restaurant/bar :

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/3353559538/" title="IMGP0040 by uzziefly, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm2.static.flickr.com/1062/3353559538_677346fe49_b.jpg" width="1024" height="766" alt="IMGP0040" /></a>

Another reason I went to The Block was so I could look for a new camera that I wanted but unfortunately, the camera store there well, wasn't there anymore.

I actually met a really cool guy at The Block on that day : He's actually a really good photographer as well and one heck of an awesome artist - he uses an airbrush to draw many portraits from movies and also takes orders for personal material.

Here's his website if anyone is interested: https://www.allandavidson.com/

Well, after that, I headed home since I couldn't remember which other malls in the area had a good camera store and, I wasn't too keen on going anywhere else for the day anyway.

//I could only remember how to go to a few places actually, despite how familiar things felt.

It's pretty interesting so far, even for a virtual stranger. I am enjoying the serialized nature of it.

On a pretty random note:

I just did a comparison between the images from this camera and my new one and I could immediately tell the difference in vibrancy and saturation even.

But I still like this camera for its portability (not the slimmest p&s). It's a Pentax Optio S450 fwiw.

I wish there was better image stabilization though. (Yeah, noob right? :p)
