For part 4, see here.

Wayne, I haven't seen you around much here in the Lounge so when I saw you posted earlier while I was out, I knew I had to post this part up as soon as I got home since I thought you might be interested in it.

So after the Convention Center, I headed to Anaheim Garden Walk which was en route to my hotel and actually, just across it even.

Got a peanut butter cookie from Roebeck's and a smoothie as well. On my way back, I walked to the rear entrance (c()de?) and saw this girl sitting by the steps. We chatted for a little bit as she waited for her ride for her evening class.

Just before she left, she told me where she worked at the mall and told me to come by one of these days. Pretty cool.

Later that evening, I went to get some water and stuff from 7-eleven.

The next day, as usual due to the crappy jet lag that I haven't figured out had hit me hard, I woke up pretty late in the day, way past 2pm IIRC. Oh wait, I think I slept again and got up around 5 or 6 that evening.

So I decided to head to Downtown Disney just to check out the stores and place.

Immediately upon entering the area, I was greeted by a very familiar Disney melody that just brings a smile to people's faces.

In Downtown Disney itself, there were more mainstream music that was played over the air and overall, the atmosphere was just as you would expect - happy, fun, family oriented, many people, colorful. All in all, it was a great sight as it always is.

Near the entrance of Downtown Disney (right after security):

Around a little over halfway down the block:

(Another shot)

I stopped by the Quicksilver store that evening to check out what they had and there was a pretty decent sale going on so I thought maybe I could pick out a sweatshirt that would help me in the colder segments of my trip with NJ and NY being my main focus.

There was a really nice girl who worked at the store who was pretty helpful and friendly for sure and it most definitely made my evening and also swayed me towards my decision to get a sweatshirt :D

The only dumb move on my part was that I didn't get her email/number for some reason and when I left, I thought I could bump into her again real soon and ask her then. Big mistake. Time and time again, I keep learning to seize the opportunity, even the smallest ones. But of course, I missed it, yet again. Oh well, I'll remember her as the cool one at the store. :mad2:

Here's a shot from the store:

Well, that's it for part 5! Hope you guys enjoy it.

P.S. I was pretty much a real n()()b with respect to taking photos so I didn't get close to the subject/consider lighting etc during these stages. Thanks for the tip in the previous thread though MB1. Very much noted since I got the new camera already but I'd keep it in mind nonetheless.

//Oh and wayne, in case you missed it, I got some new nnc shoozz. Click here if you're keen.

Takin after Mr. Grumpy eh? Or, 'acting old?' :D:D:D

For the previous set, I couldn't get much closer fwiw since the lens ain't a wide angle one for sure, and, the zoom feature is very limited as well.

But yeah, I get what you mean. I think.

Thanks! I cropped 2 as you can see because I rested the camera on a trash can (that's probably one of the really rad and clean ones you'll find since it's in the Disney area) for stability while I upped the exposure. The original images had the image of the green trash can and it reflected the lights. I thought it might look really horrible if I left it as it was perhaps.

I was just messing around with the settings though, not knowing how much exposure or what aperture to use. I just played around and looked at the pictures to decide if they looked alright. Yes, that was how much of a n()()b I was back then. (Not that I'm great now by any means. Or close to not being a noob either)

Here are the originals:

Did I crop em' right?

I actually kind of like the reflections in the last uncropped one. That place looks like a great night photography location.

It's a blast for night shots for sure.

It is Disneyland and all after all. I spent a few days just heading there to check out the place and shoot pictures and each time, I get something different. I realized this after going through the images I have.

I was on the fence with regards to the uncropped versions - part of me thought it might be cool but I also thought it might look too amateurish (if it's possible for me!!) so I decided to crop em.

I hardly ever crop any images actually.

Thanks uzzie. Your photos brought a smile to my face. And yes, I'm dying for a smoothie. :)

Always a pleasure Wayne. I miss real smoothies too. I can't believe how scarce they are over here!!!

By the way, you can follow the series from part 1 if you're interested.

I'll keep em' up all the way till 79, usually on a daily basis or so or at least, till I run out of space on my flickr account for the month perhaps. Trying to figure out the best way with regards to that.

Nice ones, Uzz. I agree with Ridge on the reflections.

And for the record, it's Robek's, which, btw, has no affiliation with DrRoebuck. I can't stand that sh!t.

Wait, you don't like Robek's? Yeah I knew I spelled it kinda differently (different?) but forgot the actual spelling.

I like them as much as Jamba Juice or Orange Julius. Heck, any nice smoothie, I'm sold.

I was sooo disappointed in Princeton when there were hardly any smoothie stalls near where I stayed. The only ones were in the mall which isn't that near to the campus. Oh and, Atlanta as well. Maybe I wasn't in the right areas.

By the way, there is a Roebuck's coming up in one of the latter parts of this series. Watch this space.

//Gracias mi amigo. Muy apreciado.

///Now that I've learnt how to use the manual settings for aperture and exposure (this camera doesn't have ISO settings I could mess with), I'm keen on taking it for some night shots to compare with my other camera.
