I just installed a Paul Motolite rear V-brake and having trouble with my righthand spring adjust nut not holding tension (i.e., outward rotation). Every time I've tried to set it and tighten the mount screw, I'll go through a few cycles of squeezing the brake levers and I eventually hear a pop and the spring adjust nut has rotated back to the 12 o'clock starting position with the mount screw loosened up. I've tightened the mount screw fully and the spring itself is mounted correctly, but the spring adjust nut/mount screw will not hold past a few squeezes of the brake levers. The lefthand spring adjust nut holds fine.

Can anyone give some pointers toward what might be the problem?

I've tried contacting the company but they're away doing race support.

Thanks for any help,
Barry
