He’s toast. He hasn’t seen a decent result since his last nasty crash. I’d say, his first. He’s not well liked in the peloton. This is a huge downgrade. He won’t be a figure beyond Slovakian Champion...I'm as big of a Sagan fan as everyone else but his best years are behind him, sadly. Although the guys he raced with early on were studs also (Edvald Boassen Hagen, Kwiatowski, etc), these new guys (MVdP, Van Aert, Remco, Pidcock) are on another level.
I'll be pulling for him on Sunday though, especially if the conditions are as crappy as predicted.
