Just like any other sequel, this one has no new ideas or character development. Just more of the same.

Except, of course, for the cameo by Juliette Binoche.

So far I'm loving the bike, but the 48x16 is killing my legs. People think L.A. is flat, but it really isn't it. I have an 18 on the way.

I'm also annoyed, as MB said, about the whole flip-flop situation. Why wouldn't they have it fixed on both sides?? Real pain.

Oh, and I never even tried the saddle that it came with. I had my Brooks Swift ready and waiting.

I wish I hadn't looked at this thread. I think I'm gonna have to get me one of those. ;)

If you don't mind, how much did you pay for them? Where? I also live in the LA area. I've called a few LBS and all of them sell for $550+tax (nothing in stock, have to order them from Bianchi).

I ordered mine from this place. It was $500, but they were pretty sloppy. You should check with I. Martin. Last time I called them the turnaround wasn't too bad for ordering.

Great pictures! Although I'm going to have to clean my bike tomorrow after seeing such a clean machine.

Thanks Joe. Unfortunately the rest of the bike is not as clean.

You should see mine. You'd (rightly) probably hit me ;) I've got a Volpe in the same color that I use for commuting through mostly industrial roads, so it's not at it's purdiest after a few months of hard work. I've wiped her down and kept her lubed and noiseless, but she really is filthy.

That's such a great color...

Dr:

Very nice pics of a very nice ride! I love that gane green. It's right on par with fart brown for me. (I think brown frames are sweet)

I think the green is even cooler than the chrome!

I like the green too but after a couple of years of hard use the chrome is still going to look good and the green is going to be beat to death (I guess then it will be time for the electrical tape). I hate to even think about what the track ends are going to look like.

BTW You like brown? Wait till you see Miss M's repainted Rivendell (sometime in the next couple of months, those hippies in Cal sure take their time about things).

Well hopefully that will only add to the retro appeal.

you're good either way.

Green or chrome, either is fine. And Juliette Binoche is fine fine... you're a man of refined (there it is again) taste.

Hey Arby, looks like you cut your right shin shaving. But it's fine to read from you again.

I guess you'll just have to upgrade to the Phil Wood double fixed. Bill Ron Has them in Redondo Beach.

Wish I could afford them!

Later,

Geez, I was hoping to go the rest of the year without spending any more money on bike crap. Next thing I know I'll be upgrading the headset to Chris King (as if I'm not already thinking about that). Thanks a lot, TY. :)
