The latest info I have on this board says that pre,during and immediately post
ride nutritional objectives are almost exact opposite of non-activity periods,
i.e., instead of nutrient dense high quality foods it is actually best to intake
the carbohydrate dense and quickest absorption. This would be an effective mix
of (glucose andor sucrose andor dextrose), (maltodextrin), and very importantly
fructose to maximize the absorption at 90. Apparently now sucralose may cause
an even higher blood sugar spike, ironically what we are shooting for during activity.
Someone correct me if any of this sounds wrong....
