I am going to get a Power Tap (I think)...

Here is my question... I have two bikes and both have Bontrager XXX Lite Wheels. Can the Power Tap Hub be built into the XXX Lite wheel or should I even bother using those wheels? If so... how much would it cost to have this done??

It seems silly to have such nice wheels and not use them.

I am not a racer... just an old guy who doesn't want to waste my time riding without getting better and more fit...

Well, getting the wheel built up might be more expensive than just buying an XXX Lite wheel with a powertap http://www.bontrager.com/model/01853/en

However, you can still use your other wheels, just not with the powertap.

Who knows? You would need to talk to a specialty wheel builder because they would have to drill the hub for that specific rim since they use different spoke lacing than normal with the paired spokes.

In the end, it could be more than just purchasing a powertap wheel already built up with one.

That way you can use the Powertap hub all the time and sell the other wheel to help make up the cost difference of purchasing the new Powertap wheel.
