I am getting ready to put my 80's CIOCC up for sale. It has Shimano 600 sis components that work as well as the day they arrived...perfectly.

Cinelli bars (42 " i think)

The rims are Mavic MA40's

This bike would have to be considered a project bike though because I live on the NJ shore and the salt air has caused some surface rust on the chrome fork...not a big deal just cosmetic. I noticed it is now getting some corrosion under the paint too.

I recently purchased a new bike so I am considering putting her up for sale.

Any thoughts on best approach for selling....pricing?
Craigslist ?
EBay?
Some better site>>????

Ill follow up with photos.

Ebay is pretty good, although shipping can be a pain. Lots of action on the NYC-area CL as well--although you do get a fair number of idiots. Do not hold--be firm--first person to show up with the money gets the bike. (You will hear stories that will amaze you, but be firm on this.)

I would also say--please post an ad with accurate measurements c-t-c top tube and seat tube especially. Lots of folks just say unhelpful things like "it's a 58" as if that were a natural kind and not specific to the bike.

Also take some good pictures---this will do more to get you top dollar than anything else.

+1 on good quality pictures. That willl help you sell your bike fast.
i would also list the components and tubing so people know your a bike enthusisit and not some guy who stole this on the street and dont know anythign about it.

there were plenty of times i saw a decent picture on CL but the description was so terrible i didnt wanna call cause i thought it was stolen.

$450 = what do I get, as shown? It is a beauty, a tad short for me but I would live I think.
Yes, for $450 you get the Rossin just as you see in the picture. Thanks for asking.

yes i do know that i will miss it.

it is getting some rust spots due to salt air and moisture in my basement.

I want to get her into the hands of someone who will appreciate the bike and get it repainted and restored to former glory.

in that case you should be able to get 400 for the frameset alone
