Team will split up to hit multiple events April 27-May 8

DENVER - The Primal/MapMyRIDE Professional Women's Racing Team powered by BH Bikes will split its riders across the country to tackle three races in less than two weeks.

Half of the squad will ride in the Tour of the Gila April 27-May 1 in New Mexico and the Joe Martin Stage Race May 5-8 in Arkansas, while the other half competes in the USA Crits Speed Week April 30-May 8 in Georgia and the Carolinas.

"It's going to be a challenging but very exciting stretch for our new team," said Primal/MapMyRIDE Team Director Susannah Gordon. "I'm really proud of the way the ladies rode at Sea Otter and we're ready to hit this stretch of racing at full speed."

Megan Hottman, Tiffany Pezzulo, Liza Rachetto and Nicky Wangsgard will head to the USA Crits Speed Week, a seven-race challenge that takes place across three states in the Southeast.

Meanwhile, team members Kasey Clark, Nicole Evans and Emily Kachorek will be joined by guest riders Julie Emmerman of Colorado and Kristen LaSasso of California. The group will ride in both the five-stage Tour of the Gila and the four-event Joe Martin Stage Race. Team rider Gwen Inglis is out with a broken wrist sustained at the Redlands Bicycle Classic earlier this month.

The team is coming off a successful race at the Sea Otter Classic, where Kachorek won the sprinter's jersey in a tough field and team members claimed five top-10 finishes across the four stages.

Additional support of Primal/MapMyRIDE is provided by Nique, FSA, Retül, Reynolds, SIDI, Smith Optics, and Vittoria as second tier sponsors, and third tier sponsors are Breeze Bars, Enzo's Cycling Products, Giro, GU Energy, Lizards Skins and Treads.com.
