Question about a wheel upgrade

I am going to upgrade my OEM wheels and I am looking for some under $500 sets, any recomendations?

I do most of my riding mis flats, ondulating and steep climbs. I am 5-9 180 lb.

You can see a few sets at the site of BWW -

Products

For that kind of money you can get things like Blackset Race, Pure Race or Pure Aero from $360 - $400 and they will weigh mid-1400 to mid-1500 grams or about 1600g for the Aero which, depending on what OEM wheels you already have, will save you around 500g or a pound.

Look inside their Road>Training and Road>Distance tabs.

Edit - their wheels have sensible, not fad, spoke numbers (24/28 in the wheels I mentioned) which will make for reasonably strong wheels and might save you from a long walk.

IMO Neuvations are good too, and great customer service. A number of riders around here use them and have been quite happy with them. They have some good sales on clearing out the 19mm wide rims with the new 22mm wide rims coming in.

..or go the hand built way with some 23mm rims and hubs priced to your budget.
