Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I wasn't sure where to put it.

I'm concidering replacing the fork on my 05 Specialized Roubaix Elite from the carbon fork it came with to maybe the EC90SL or SLX. My question is since my fork has a 49mm rake/offset, how will the handling change if I go with an easton fork with a 43mm rake/offset?

There's a frames and bikes section where this probably fits better. Anyhow, you will experience slower steering. Whether this is a problem, will depend on your preferences. Are you sure your current offset is 49? That's unusual in this day and age.

One of my bikes came with a 50 offset. That one is to 43 now...
