I have had a pair of KEO Sprint pedals for a few years, been on a couple different bikes, not sure how many miles, likely over 10,000. I am a big guy, 6'3" and 210-215 pounds (most of the time I am :)). When I hung the bike up tonight, I happened to grab a pedal, and it doesn't feel really smooth, I can grab it and wiggle it a bit too, makes some noise when I spin it.

Perhaps they are just wore out, and need to be replaced, however if they can be disassembled and inspected, and possibly re-greased, I'd like to try that before discarding them. Is this possible with these pedals ?

Thanks,
Doug

The bearings in Look Keos are famously non-repairable for the simple reason that you can't get them off.

The pedals were designed to have the bearings and axles replaced as a single unit. I believe that Look has an "axle and bearing replacement kit" but I've never seen one for sale.

Perhaps ask your LBS to ask the Look distributor to ask.....

It is possible to take the pedals off the cranksand use a 19mm box spanner to remove the axle - they use right and left hand threads, then clean and regrease.
Here in the uk the axle kits are expensive and its probably easier/cheaper to buy new pedals, especially as you ve had them for a few yrs.
