0G brake come with two sets of brake pad. black for aluminum rim and
red for carbon. I used the black for my alu rim. The pad has a lot of life
but I decide to replace it since it got quite some metal chunks in it and
is scratching rim badly. I want to know if I can use the red pad to save few bucks.
Any one does this, would it damage the rim ? and does it provide
similar stop power ? If this is not a good idea, is there 0G 05 compatible
pad out there I can use instead ?

Any Campy 2000 will fit.
I use Kool-Stop Salmon on mine.

The Corima pads are cork and won't last very long and they aren't even that great on braking for carbon rims. Koolstop does make some nice pads that work well for their given application. I've heard a lot of great feedback on Swiss Stops but I have never personally rode them.

Red pads squeal on non-carbon rims

I've got the first generation zeros. Last year I got the red pads having got the idea that they'd be grippier than the black ones. The red pads made so much noise that I eventually ordered the black replacement pads. Problem over.

keep swissstop in mind

you might want to give swissstop a try next time- I started using them a while back and now they're all I use for carbon and aluminum. The yellow (for carbon rims) are more expensive, but the black (for aluminum rims) are priced pretty close to everything else and they are awesome.
