I seem to get a flat every week with these tires so having an excuse to replace them will work for me.

I had a much smaller tear in a tire but it was clean through to the inside...FLAT, FLAT, and more FLATs. Well, at least I got some practice on emergency road repairs :mad2:

Yeah, replace it...BUT, you could use it as an emergency spare if your into that kind of thing, by smearing Shoe Goo into the wound from the outside and putting a tire boot on the inside.

It looks like that cut has done some damage to the casing underneath the tread as there seems to be a slight bulge. Even if you booted the tire, that bulge would result in pretty rapid wear of the tread and so you'd be replacing it soon anyway.

if you want to try a boot I like to use spent gel packs. This may cause less of a bulge than a typical boot from cut up tire pieces.
