I have a 2002 Sirrus A1 Pro w/ a broken dropout that I want to replace. Any thoughts. It's not warranty since I purchased the bike used, but I hope Specialized may throw me a bone.

In the meantime, I'm looking for my own way to fix the bike. Let me know if you know how, and if you know where in the San Fran Bay Area it could happen.

I'd take it to a custom frame builder and see what they say. Maybe, maybe not, but only a builder can tell after an inspection. If they can do it I'd bet it would be cheaper than a deal on a new frame but with a new frame you have peace of mind and probably a warranty. Another reason to go steal. This would be an easy and relatively inexpensive replacement.
