I did it yesterday and it took me around two hours... I was averaging about 9-11mph. I think that section from the casino to the stop signs is around 6 miles.

Sometimes I like to go up from the casino and then turn left onto the road that leads to the la luz trail, which is another good 2 miles of climbing.

move out of new mexico. This is your first move to being a better cyclist and having a better life..............

Seriously though, I have no idea if that is a good time. I just used to live there and hated NM so I feel obligated to diss it at every opportunity. Have a good day and keep riding ;o)

With that speed, at your age, you'll never get a pro contract to ride your bike for money. The only thing left is to ride for fun. Your time was not too slow to have fun.

If you're not being paid to ride, what difference does it make how fast you are compared to others? All that matters is how much enjoyment you get out of it. If you have to be faster than other people to enjoy yourself, I'm afraid you'll never be happy. You're not that fast.
