This is a tough problem. New DeRosa Dual frame has rivetted bosses. They were sorta loose at first, but I noticed that if you tightened the bolts up enough, it snugged the rivet up.

After less than 50 hours on the frame, I cannot tighten them anymore and they are starting to come loose again. I will take this back to the shop (breaks my heart, sic) because I won't settle with this.

Any experience with these bosses? Drill out and replace?

Sorry, Im taking a stab in the dark here as Im not familular with this frame...Are they the riv-nut kinda things ? Sounds like they used ones that had too long of a reach or something, leaving a little slop. I would replace them with the proper reach ones, and I would also get some backing plates and bend them to form up against your tubes; it'll make it look cleaner.
One problem with drilling them out is that you may not be able to get all of the rivet out (the ass end falling off and rattleing around in the tube) ? Maybe drilling the rivet out just enough to reduce the wall thickness, so that you can easily pull the whole rivet out of the tube without it separating ?
