Keep it.

That's the beauty of inanimate objects - they don't care if you ignore them (they don't care at all). If you have no financial reason to get rid of the bike, and you like the bike, then throw a sheet over it to keep the dust off and forget about it a while. You may have more time later - or perhaps may yet be able to ride it every once in a while.

I wonder if this is why some people end up with lots of bikes. I have only ever bought one road bike, and it's still the only one I own. I suppose that when I have an eye to buy a new bike (when my student loans are paid off), I will likely keep the one I have anyhow because will likely be worthless anyhow - besides, there might be nostalgia in taking it out every once in a while.
