Is it safe to ride? No crack on the rim. Tension still good.
I'm trying to find a replacement spoke. Anyone have a spare? It's a 08 mavic aksium rear drive side. Thanks.

Looks like the nipple is cracked along its length - if possible I would see if the LBS has a replacement as it looks like it may actually be a standard nipple, not sure what gauge/threading the Aksium spokes are.

If you squeeze that spoke against its neighbor (just like you do when you stress relieve spokes) is that nipple creaking or making any other noises?

swap it i say!! and my reason is very simple.. say u ding a wheel that requires a roadside truing (you guys DO carry a spoke wrench in your kit right??) Mr Murphy tells me itl be THAT spoke that needs tension and your in for a walk home that day.. to make matters worse, Murphy sez itl get dark when it happens cuz youll have gone that extra 5mile loop you dont usually do since you felt so great that day and since walking tht extra 5 miles home your kick ass carbon soled shoes are going to make your feet hurt like mad the next week which means no riding... all cuz of a cracked spoke nip?? choice is yours really but thats how i see it :)
