You didn't have to be in it, didya? I did.

/ Surprisingly cold and gloomy for it still being summer... and it rained.

I envy your level horizon.

On a ride to the Marin Headlands on Labor Day there were many dolphins swimming near the bridge and a sea lion drifted by with the current.

There are a lot of people driving automobiles around here. I don't own a car so I'm rarely stuck in traffic. One of the reasons I enjoy living here is the ability to access a diversity of natural areas with a bicycle: Mt. Tam, Diablo, Hamilton, beaches along the coast, redwood forests. Living without being car dependent is important to me.

ok now I'm envious... the bay area is just about the only part of CA where I'd consider living
keep in mind, these (at least mine) were taken Jan-March. :D

You can almost see my house. :D Where's that taken from? I may try to get there tomorrow if not far from the city...
I'm gonna guess mt. tam.

Here are a couple more, all taken with the crappy iphone camera, and edited with free aps. (+ bonus for taken mid-rides)

That is from Mt. Tam, Christmas day 2008. It was near freezing up there and made for a cold descent.

Nice pics!

As beautiful as the Bay area is, I could never see paying the prices needed to live well there. What I paid for a 4 bedroom place on 1/2 acre in FL would not buy a garage space for my car in SF.

Same for NC but I don't miss NC one bit and you couldn't pay me to live in FL.
