Yeah, go see it. Another home run from Disney-Pixar, or at least a smacked-off-the-back-wall triple. And yes, both kiddies and adults will dig it, so you're not in the parental penalty box for two hours. Might be too sophisticated for very, very young kiddies, though (like under 6-7).

Three-and-a-half stars out of four. What, you expected a long review? Bwhahahaha.... psych!

(okay, okay, so you at least want to know the premise? It's a cop-buddy mystery pic, of all things, with one of the two 'buddies' actually being a criminal, of sorts. Oh, and some lessons about how to get along with those who are different from you and a warning about not giving into fear also work their way into the narrative. So, a comedy, yep, but with a message. Which is kinda like InsideOut, which I also dug.)

oh, and yeah, the trailer(s).

btw, it's looking like a very good year for Disney in general... Finding Dory is coming in June.

I went and saw London has Fallen.. not bad for a no expectation movie.. no surprises.. just a fun go blow stuff up movie :)

If I could get my 4 year old to sit still for more than 5 min.. I would take him to Zootopia.

I can't get by the horror of Gumby and Pokey, none of that type of animation for me. Gumby scarred me for life.

That's claymation, which his different. And yeah, it is kinda creepy.

I remember an episode of Gumby where he gets eaten by a malevolent giant pie. It was really strange-looking, and kinda freaked me out as a kid. :(

What's Finding Dory about?
Watch the trailer in post #2.

(And you did see Finding Nemo, yes? So like that, but for Dory.)

Although I'm tempted to quote Richard Dreyfuss's son in "Close Encounters . . .", after Richard tries to convince the family that "Pinocchio" is a fine family film, and say "who wants to watch a movie that's rated "G" for kids" I must admit that Disney of late has been knocking 'em out of the ball park. Loved "Frozen" and "Maleficent" as well but I truly adored Kenneth Branagh's "Cinderella" so I'll give "Zootopia" a look see (either that or "Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot").
