hell no, it's not worth $250. maybe if it were fully overhauled with new consumables...

as is (and if ready to ride), $100. (not that i would pay that.)

the owner says he paid $500 for it? a schwinn traveller? ridiculous.

it's also a very small frame. you can normally identify a vintage steel frame size by eyeballing the height of the head tube. how tall are you?

I'm only 5,9 it just seems like everything around me is way to expensive for the quality. That's why I checked on this forum because it seemed a little pricy for what it was. But I thought maybe I just don't know anything

Have you been to B & L bikes there in Pullman? They may not have something for you but I've found they are extremely helpful and probably give you some good advice and might be able to point you in a good direction.

In any case, that Schwinn isn't a $250 bike.

here's one worth the asking price (probably): Peugeot bike for sale

No I haven't been in there, do they sell used bikes?
They do. I don't know what they have in their inventory but they're the largest bike shop in your area. I live in Spokane but always visit B&L when I'm in the area. Brice, the owner, is a good guy and hopefully can help you.
