HI Eyeryone

I have a scott cr1 pro 2007 (carbon frame) and the bottle cage rivets are loose, so when inserting a bolt to secure the cage it just turns in the frame:mad2: .

1. I wanted o ask is anyone knows if their is a hole in the bottom bracket or by the headset of the frame so it can be drilled out.

2.secondly does anyone know if you can TAP into carbon fibre? I would think its very brittle in some cicumstances.

if anyone can help I would be most grateful.

thanks

Trevor

Your local shop should have a rivet setter to tighten it back into the frame. They come loose from time to time, and are easy to tighten back down with the tool. No need to drill it out or jb weld it.

Agree. Three-minute job for someone with the right tool and a bit of experience in using it. Get thee to an LBS.
