SRAM Question

Just bought my first SRAM pc-48 chain.
So I assembled using the power link per instructions but my question is this: Squeezing the plates together and pulling apart the chain to "lock" the link in place doesn't seem very reliable. I mean, it would be nice if there was a little more of a positive click-like feel as the pins seat themselves. It doesn't seem to take much to get them apart and I'd hate for the chain to come apart while riding.
Am I being paranoid? Looking for someone who's used these and their experience.

I've used SRAM exclusively for several years now, and never had an issue with the power link. The tension on the chain is more than enough to hold it properly.

IMHO it is easy to tell when your master link is closed properly, and when it is closed properly it simply will not open under load unexpectedly. Ride without worry.
