I was wondering if anybody out there has run a 300mm seatpost on a slightly sloping top tube frameset? Is the 300mm long enough or would a 350 be a safer bet? My old steel frame only had a 220mm seatpost I believe so a 300 would be about three inches longer than my old school post. Just trying to keep up with the changing times.

simple...

If you got by with a 220 and then get a frame with 4-6cm of slope, all you need is 260-280mm. Compare the total length of the seat tube before buying a new post. I've cut quite a bit off my 350mm posts because they had way more length than I needed.
