I just read the UCI banned overshoes / oversocks / booties.

Well, I always thought these things helped when it was chilly out! Anyone know why?

 I can't wait till the women (hmm-certain) bike riders are required to compete nude!

All joking aside - They really help to keep grit and crap out of your velcro when it rains too. And my shoes stay dryer on the ride longer than without and I'm not slopping around.

I double up when it is <38F out.

If only.

Race staff briefd the riders before the start of the new UCI rule, but as far as I know, this only happened here for the British champs and I can't find anything else anywhere about this 'new' ban.

Sounds like normal UCI madness if ture, or some idiot in British Cycling thinking they're God!
