What do others do about the cleat bolts when they replace the cleats? The replacement screws that come with the cleats are too long. I've reused the Sidi botls, but the heads are foten banged up. I've only seen the replacement bolts sold with the entilre kit (including mounting plate). Has anyone bought replacement bolts from a hadware store? What is the size and thread pitch? Any thoughts on this?

One trick that I have used, is to take one bolt to the hardware store. Find a nut that will fit it, then try to find an allen head bolt that is the right length. If that doesn't work, just buy the nut. When you get home, thread the nut onto your too long bolt, and cut it with a hacksaw, or grind it shorter. When you remove the nut, it will "chase" the threads.
