It's been a while since I took my crank apart, but I think I put the inner chainring on incorrectly. The crank is a Shimano compact crank FC-700.
A. Should the ring size/info label be facing out, or in towards the bb?
B. Does the triangle point towards the crank?
thanks

Forget all that stuff. All chainrings are countersunk on one side for the chainring bolts. The countersink on the small chainring should face the frame. The countersink on the large chainring should face away from the frame.
