I'm going to tell you about it anyway. (But you really should do a better job of taking care of us who live out there on the fringe.)

The statue is called Tongniuling which means something along the lines of "Hill of the boy on a flying bull". As you might expect.

Long ago some pirates were pestering the poor fishermen so they called upon the local Diety to help them out. The Deity sent these two and they chased the pirates away to some offshore islands where they remain today in the form of a Chinese submarine base.

I walked up there yesterday at the expense of being laughed at by a bus-full of Chinese men. The headshot is a crop of the closer photo.

what's the story on the UFO in the background?
Sometime in the future, the local fishermen will be pestered by zombies riding Jet Skis. They will call upon the local Deity who will send a boy and a bull in a flying saucer who will drive the zombies to some offshore island where they will continue on as a Chinese hovercraft base.

Today it's a tourist attraction ala observation platform. Nice view of the surrounding coast, bays, docks and oil spills.
