ok here it goes, i am a broke a** college student.
All of my money goes to the 3B's Bills, booze, and BIKES. haha

however im having a problem with my wi-fi, i live in am apartment complex, so i just use my neighbors wifi which is unprotected to keep me from having to pay for wi-fi. HOWEVER the neighbors that i usually use must have moved out because its no longer available, now i have to use another one, but it is always in and out. usually i can only get maybe 5 straight minutes before it goes out for a few seconds then comes back which is annoying.

I thought about just adding internet but it would cost me $40 more a month to my cable bill which SUCKS.

So im wondering if there is anything i can do or buy for my computer to get a better connection.

i have a macbook which is proooooooooooobably 3yrs old now.

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch. High school economics I think.

Yeah, drop the cable. You can get your shows via Hulu and shows and movies from Netflix. You're not really missing anything then.

Lol. After the wife (5th grade teacher) told me another kid in her class ratted out a classmate for a simulated teabagging... and she wasn't 100% sure what that meant... I gave her the UD link. I knew from the other room when she opened it up from the laughter. A great site to expand one's knowledge base.

Leeching WiFi is not a good way to make it through college, especially when you make it out to be a requirement to do your homework assignments...
Replace your cable with internet service... You'll watch less TV and find more time to study.

do you have verizon? I can tether my phone to my computer and get internet that way. Its only 15 extra dollars (prob a hack around this, too). There is a 5gb quota, so depending on what you are doing and what your classes entail it might do the trick. Not sure if other carriers offer tethering as well.

Yep. Why pay through the nose for 1000 channels of nothing, when you can have interwebs and lots more pr0n?

well if the connection isn't locked its more-less sharing, if i were to hack into their server then it would be known as stealing.

It's risky in ways other than stealing. How do you know the neighbors are not doing this for nefarious reasons? I definitely wouldn't want to be checking my bank accounts on an unsecured and "borrowed" network.

And if you leave the keys in your jeep and someone takes it, that's sharing too.

I use open WiFi occasionally with my iPhone but let's not sugarcoat it. It is stealing bandwidth from someone who is paying for it.
