and I figure some of you WI/MN/IA/IL peoples may be interested in attending.
Its the BRAVE ride, held here in be-utiful South West WI. We're basing it out of Gays Mills. Ride options are 20, 30, 60 and 100 miles[all approximate]. The 20 and 30 are relatively easy.

The 60 and 100 mile routes are certainly harder. And are most certainly prettier. And quite hilly. Very much so. The roads are all low trafficked and narrow.

After the ride, we have attached a benefit meal. Locally raised and procured produce and meats all chefed up really, really well. The proceeds from the meal and the alcohol [local stuff too] go the the Farm to School program. There's music and dancing and stuff later too.

Unfortunately, I'm not riding. I have to run the sag wagon.

SoO0o, you wanna come? Date is soon, September 18. Weather for the past three has been fantastic. We're holding out hope it'll once again be spectacular. You can register the day of on site, or use the Active.com link on the above linked website.

Hope to see a couple of you!

September 18th, a day which will live in infamy as the busiest day of the year. I have about 14,236 things on the calendar already... The lack of anything resembling legs on my part is a moot point.

As much as I'd love to come up and terrorize the midwestern/northern type folks, Sept 18th doesn't leave much time to make arrangements or set aside fundage!

For once the legs aren't an issue!

Oh, and there's camping right across from the start finish line. Lots of B&B's in the area too, but with the art festival the same weekend, rooms may be hard to come by.

My bad for such short notice.

No worries! I was yankin' your chain a bit. I'm covered up by work and century rides the last two weekends of this month and then the 24 Hours of Booty Ride the first weekend of Oct. I'd love to ride up that way at some point...perhaps next time.

Bump! It's this weekend. Any takers in IL, IA, WI? I'm planning on camping there Friday night and doing the 100 mile route Saturday. Might be convinced to do some MTB NNCing Sunday morning.
