Since the company that makes it atm is Italian and Trek is very big on proprietary process I was thinking things like Pinarello (who already has done things with crazy stuff like Magnesium and the like) etc.
Also the material is EXPENSIVE and trek while they do make expensive frames has never made a frame alone with the "price is no object" attitude of some of the Italian companies.
Yeah but this is not taking a titanium skeleton and then filling the gaps with carbon. Think if a wafer cookie where you take incredibly thin slices of each material and bond them one on top of the other layer after layer. It's akin to how they make ballistic vests but instead you are making a rigid structure.
