What is considered the maximum amount of spacers for a Carbon Fork w/Aluminum Steerer. I realize aesthetically, the lower the better, but is there a safety issue by "piling" them on.

... while there has to be a practical limit, I don't recall seeing a specific parameter for alloy steerers per se (course, Georgie Hincapie might now argue), but imagine that it's at least higher than that specified for most CF steerers (25mm for 1" and 35mm for 1 1/8")...

The most I've ever used on a threadless alloy steerer is 40mm.
