So I called my local shop to determine cost for a build with Roval Fuse wheels and a couple different gruppo combos (Rivale and Force).

It's a lot cheaper than I had anticipated! Thing is, availability on the frame is late May or early June!!! NO!!!!!!!

What's up widdat?!?! =( Oh, well, I'm gonna pull the trigger and do it anyway. SWEET!!!

Congratulations! This is about the same lead time that I was quoted for my Tarmac Pro SL frameset in November 2008. I got my frame in about 1 month, rather than the expected 2 months, and others have reported similar experiences. My guess is that you will be riding your new bike in mid April!

Your build plans sound good, though I'm curious as to why you picked the Roval Fuse wheelset. Are these the ones with the funky star shaped hub? There are plenty of wheel choices in that price band, and Specialized wheels aren't usually at the top of the list, though I hear that they are getting better.

The Fusee SL wheels are what they recommended and that was just an idea. But I admit, they are sexy lookin... I could go with others... Possibly some Mavic's.

The price with Rival was $3850. The price with Force is $4150.

I'm stoked!!!

Congratulations!

I've ridden the stock Fusee SL's (no stars) 1700 miles w/ no issues - it might be because I weigh 150 lbs and I'm not strong enough to flex them.:cryin: One thing I can say is they track really well going through downhill curves at 40 mph.

What color are you getting?
