I am getting a KG381 to replace my current bike that uses a clamp-on front derailleur. So I need to get a new one for the KG381. I have been using a regular Record FD with the SLK 50/40 compact crankset and it shifts pretty smoothly.
Since it is braze-on and does have too much space to play with along the seat tube, do I need a compact FD?
