I would suggest getting a compact-specific braze-on FD. It will probably ride high because you can only go so low with the braz-on setup. The extra length in the guide is helpful in that circumstance.
The FSA C-16 FD is cheap and really good. The IRD is exactly the same component, so you may want to look for one of these as well.
