No I meant each unit weighs 225 grams, so easily 300 with batteries. You need 6 each wheel to get that effect so thats 6 x 300 = 1800 grams, so x 2 = 3600 grams + your wheel set is easily in the 5.5 kg + range. I can get a whole bike for less than that, almost
Who says you need 6 for each wheel? The howto doesn't mention that multiple kits are required, the only mention than needing more than one spoke is for speeds slower than 15mph to keep the image persistent.
Anyway nobody is about to do something like this to a weight weenie bike or do any serious riding on the bike they fit it to so a little extra weight isn't going to hurt things, even if it isn't so little.
