I have a Sram Red GXP crankset (2011 model) with enduro BB30 reducers installed on an SL4 Tarmac. It is creating an annoying squeak when under load. For those that are familiar with this set up, what is the best way to solve this issue – lubrication? Tightening? Uninstall/reinstall?

FYI, at the moment I am not looking to replace the crankset with a bb30 model.

Also, will this do damage to the bottom bracket?

Thanks.

I ended up getting new bearings for my SuperSix with BB30.. cleaned the BB shell out really well with rubbing alcohol then installed the new bearings with Green Loctite. Let the bike sit overnight and it hasn't made a noise since. The tolerances on frames aren't perfect so add in reducers and you just increase the likelihood of creaking noises.

Just a thought..

I believe the OP's SL4 has a PF30 BB. If correct, I wouldn't suggest he follow your recommendations. Rather, refer to Specs instructions along with SRAM's instructions for their crankset installation.

Here's Specs online Manual and compatibility guide:
