Do you think that this shifter is defective? Sram Denmark and the store i bought it at, don't. I have contacted Sram USA to hear what they think View attachment 277871

Defective it what way? The shift paddles on a Red bike and a Force bike here are a mm or two inside the brake lever, similar to what your picture shows. Is that what you're concerned about?

That the shifter-button is about ½cm in, and only on my right shifter, which can be annoying

have you adjusted the reach on the brake lever so the blade is closer and not adjusted the reach on the shift paddle? that's the only thing i can think of that would cause this.

I had a number of SRAM levers come like this. I got SRAM to swap it out once even tho its not a "real" defect (i.e. it doesn't affect the lever working). Basicly I have gotten to the point where I just live it when I get one that dose this.
