So I am thinking about turning my Ridley x-fire into a ss. It is too nice to be a pit bike, but it is not my main bike. Anyone ever do that theirs? I would like not to use a tensioner if I don't have to, but if I do what are some good ones? I was looking at the rennen but I have read that it doesn't work with some drop outs? Looking through sscx thread I didn't see any ridleys. Maybe down the road if I like it I will pick up a eccentric hub but I want to do this on the cheap for now.

I run my Supercross SS using a magic gear. Find a calculator online and see if the gear might be close enough to run for your terrain/fitness/etc...
