I think I'll try that.

Curiously Amazon.ca only has industrial quantitles, so I had to suffer another $11 shipping from our friendly neighbor to the south.

It's almost 1 inch wide, so works perfectly with wide rims. And it sticks about as strong as Stan's yellow. This Scotch tape is at least as if not stronger than Stan's.

I have a new wheel build coming up and had forgotten to order rim tape, so this is timely.

This stuff is also available on eBay in different widths. I now use it on all my rims tubeless or not. My friend bought some wheels from Fairwheel Bikes and I'm pretty sure they came with this stuff as well.

We buy it by the mile, have been using it for around 8 months. The 1" width is perfect for 18 to 20mm bead seat widths. By the time it drops down into and conforms to the channel, it's not too wide. You have to be careful with the adhesive when you're starting it, the rim has to be 100% dry and clean. Smash it into the channel with your thumb, being careful not to nick it with your thumbnail.
