Trainers

For what its worth, I've had bad luck with the Blackburn mag trainer (Defender model). I'm bout to send it back for the second time for a warranty repair or replacement. Of course, if you read the reviews on this site, you see that every trainer has a few bad reviews... Make sure whatever you get has a good warranty.

You are not talking about trainers you put on a bike but stationary bikes right?

I taker spinning classes and they use the JohhnyG Spinners and I really like them. Great for climbing and you can use your clipless shoes or snap in cages for running shoes.

No electronic features though like cadence, milage, time, etc. The bikes feel really good to ride though and you can get amazing workouts depending on the routine you follow.

Best to use Heart rate monitors to measure the exertion levels.
