I just picked up a new stem. My handlebars are 26mm and the shop guy grabbed a matching sized stem. Stem seems to fit nicely around the handlebar. However, there is quite the gap between the faceplate and stem. Is it possible this is a 25.6mm stem? I noticed my other bikes don't have quite so large of a gap...

Thanks in advance!

Looks about right to me. That's how much gap I have between my stock 3T stem and bar. Btw, nice Cateye headlight and computer.

as long as the stem contacts the bar completely and the gap is even it's good. if the stem was not 26.0 you'd see contact at the edge of the stem and face plate but not all the way around.
