They look good, should be easy to plant, last forever (or til lost) and probably easier to store.
At 39' total length, how high would they stand and how high would they be to a rider and a spectator?
Definitely pricey compared to 1x1x48 pointed survey stakes @ $.60 to $.75 or scrap lath @ .25 to .45.

I might get a bunch of the 1 x 1 wood also if that price is correct around here. The 2 x 2 x 48 were quoted at $1.50, so that's not a huge difference if it saves me time of beating them in the ground with a hammer
